Modbus configuration

  1. To begin, the MICA must be properly installed following the guidelines recommended in the installation articles.
  2. The MICA must also be linked to the inBiot Setup app before local communication can be configured.

  1. In the main menu, select "Local Communication" and select the type of connectivity you wish to configure:
    1. Modbus TCP/IP (Wireless)
    2. Modbus RTU (RS-485)

Configuring Modbus TCP/IP (Wireless)

  1. In the main menu, select "Local Communication" and click on"MODBUS TCP/IP (WIRELESS)".

  1. Type in the appropriate Modbus Address and click "APPLY CHANGES". To save the configuration, select "RETURN TO MENU" followed by "SAVE AND END".

Configure Modbus RTU (RS-485)

  1. In the main menu, select "Local Communication" and click on"MODBUS RTU (RS-485)".

  1. Introduce the Modbus Address and Speed, select the corresponding Parity type and press"APPLY CHANGES". To save the configuration, select the"RETURN TO MENU" option followed by"SAVE AND END".
